The Southampton County Extension Agency offers educational programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources. These educational programs are conducted to help sustain probability and enhance land and water resources. For Crop and Soil Science management and marketing alternatives will be developed in cooperation with industry and implemented though on-farm demonstrations, area conferences, statewide conferences, field days, fact sheets, and publications.

4-H is the Comprehensive Youth Development Program of Virginia Cooperative Extension. The mission of 4-H is to develop youth and adults working with those youth to realize their full potential-becoming effective, contributing citizens through participation in research-based, informal, hands-on educational experiences.

The Virginia Cooperative extension offers Family and Consumer Sciences & Community initiatives programs provide informal education that increases knowledge, influences attitudes, teaches skills, and inspires aspirations.
