Southampton County Public Schools are comprised of four elementary schools; one middle school; and one high school. All Southampton County schools are fully accredited, based on achievement of students in English, mathematics, history and science during the 2004-2005 school year. Southampton County students met or exceeded state achievement objectives on Standards of Learning (SOL) in all four core academic areas. The high school also includes Southampton Technical Career Center which introduces students to job training skills…some of those include child care, food & clothing services, electricity related, engineering, building trades, and agriculture. Welding and auto mechanics are offered in conjunction with Paul D. Camp Community College. All schools are accredited by the Virginia Department of Education according to the state's Standards of Learning. Southampton High school is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
