TIRE AMNESTY DAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2008
For Agricultural Producers in Southampton County
The
Chowan Basin SWCD will hold their Annual Tire Recycling
Day. This is the fifth year the SWCD has offered tire recycling
to agricultural producers for Southampton County. Participation
in the program does require pre-registration. If you are
interested in bringing tires to this event, please stop
by the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office, located at
21300 Plank Road, Courtland, VA to sign up. A maximum of
84 tires are allowed (40 cars, 40 trailer/truck tires and
4 oversized tires). There will be a $75.00 refundable deposit
collected at time of sign-up and then returned when tires
are dropped off. For more information contact Stacey Bradshaw
