The
Detectives at the Sheriff's Office are primarily responsible
for the investigation of all felonies that occur in Southampton
County. The investigative process entails the response to
felonious incidents, interviewing victims and witnesses,
gathering information from other sources, interviewing and/or
interrogating suspects, obtaining and serving criminal warrants,
and building a solid criminal case for prosecutorial purposes.
