Museum Arts:
Rawls Museum Arts, affiliate of the Virginia Museum
of Fine Arts, is a non-profit organization, founded
in 1958, to promote the visual and performing arts
in and around Southampton County. RMA receives funding
from Virginia Commission for the Arts, the City of
Franklin, Southampton County, the Business Consortium
for the Arts, the Camp Foundations, Southampton Charities
and other supporters. RMA's exhibits, gift shop, classes
and educational outreach are invaluable to our community.

Southampton
Agriculture & Forestry Museum & Heritage Village:
Southampton Agriculture & Forestry Museum is dedicated
to preserving antique farm equipment, hand tools and
rural wares. Located on 10 acres of land, visitors enjoy
indoor and outdoor displays and exhibits of over 400
items, many of which are 200 plus years old. Groups
and special tours are welcome. Admission $1.00.

Boykins
Museum:
The Boykins Museum preserves the rich, rural railroad
history of Southampton County. The 1840 train station
serves as a country store with antique automobiles and
other antiquities on display. Donations are welcome.

Heritage
Day Festival:
This annual event, held the third Saturday in September,
draws hundreds of visitors from various parts of the
state. Visitors help celebrate Southampton County's
rich cultural heritage on the grounds of the Southampton
Agriculture & Forestry Museum & Heritage Village
in Courtland. Attractions include local arts & crafts,
entertainment, food and fun for the entire family!

Franklin-Southampton
County Fair:
Held annually, Wednesday through Saturday, the second
week of August, at the fairgrounds just outside of Courtland,
the Franklin-Southampton County Fair offers something
for everyone! In addition to food, rides and first-rate
live entertainment, the fair consists of over 1200 exhibits
